Ligue 1: Christ Tape officially signs with Toulouse
The deal was expected, and now it’s official. Christ Tape, 20 years old, joins Toulouse FC. TFC announced the arrival of the Ivorian left-back on July 9, coming from AC Horsens.
Christ Tape has signed a four-year contract. The transfer fee between AC Horsens and Toulouse FC is estimated at €2.5 million. Tape will make his debut in the French league wearing the TFC jersey.
Tape was developed at CO Korhogo and made his mark in Denmark with his 1.88m frame. He joined Horsens in the summer of 2024 at age 18, playing 30 matches in which he scored once and assisted another goal during the 2025-2026 season, helping the club earn promotion to the Superliga. In total, he has 58 professional appearances.
Tape boasts a modern and physical profile, able to play as a left-back or in central defense. Toulouse describes him as strong in one-on-ones, dominant in the air, and eager to push forward. He recently featured for the Ivorian Olympic team at the Maurice Revello Tournament, formerly known as the Toulon Tournament, where Ivory Coast finished third.
Christ becomes Toulouse’s second summer signing after Ismaël Diallo. He will wear the number 12 shirt and begin preparations for the new season this Thursday under coach Jens Berthel Askou.
