Saturday proved to be a particularly eventful evening for Mali international Lassine Sinayoko.

After scoring in the match against AJ Auxerre (1-0), the Paris FC striker also had to contend with jeers from some of the Auxerre crowd. The reaction clearly did not leave the Mali international indifferent.

Hours after the match, the Malian player took to social media to respond to his critics, with an emotional message and a hint of provocation. “Paris through and through. I love the jeers; they make the applause mean even more. Some people have short memories, but mine will last forever,” he wrote.

Sinayoko still holds AJ Auxerre dear

Despite the jeers, Lassine Sinayoko was keen to reaffirm his deep attachment to AJ Auxerre and the city that supported his development. “Auxerre, my city. My home. My family,” he added. The message bears witness to his bond with the Burgundy club, despite tensions that have emerged with some of its supporters.

Having developed and made his name in Auxerre’s colors, the striker clearly has no intention of forgetting what the AJA means to him. His response could nevertheless provoke a reaction in the stands at the Abbé-Deschamps.
