Lassine Sinayoko, Ligue 1’s new phenomenon
Lassine Sinayoko is thriving with Paris FC. Against Monaco, the Mali international once again carried his team by scoring twice in a 3-1 victory. After the ninth matchday, his statistics are staggering: eight goals and five assists since the start of the season.
Sinayoko makes the difference in the first half
Paris FC were able to rely on their striker to take control of the match. In the 38th minute, Sinayoko opened the scoring before completing his brace just before half-time, in the 44th minute. Monaco pulled one back through Folarin Balogun in the 66th minute, but Pablo Pagis ended the suspense eight minutes later by scoring Paris FC’s third goal.
The Malian striker’s numbers reflect his growing influence. With eight goals, he tops the Ligue 1 scoring charts. His five assists bring his total to 13 direct goal contributions in just nine matchdays. Even more impressively, Sinayoko has already been involved in three goals in the same match on three occasions this season, according to the published statistics.
A season taking on a special dimension
Paris FC have a particularly decisive attacking player in Sinayoko. A goalscorer, provider and capable of turning a match on its head, the Malian is stringing together high-level performances.
His brace against Monaco thus confirms an exceptional run of form. If this efficiency continues, the striker could continue to make his mark on the 2026-2027 season and establish himself as one of the championship’s main attractions over the long term.
