David Moses: AS Monaco in pole position to sign the Nigerian
AS Monaco are making moves for David Moses. The Nigerian midfielder, who joined Slavia Prague in January 2025, could discover a new league during the next winter transfer window. According to a source from the agency representing the player, interest in him is growing and the Principality club is closely monitoring his situation.
Monaco lead the race
According to this source, Monaco have indeed made enquiries about David Moses’ situation and are among the clubs most interested in him. The Monegasque interest is reportedly concrete enough to put the French club in a favourable position in the race to sign him. Other French and Italian clubs are also said to be monitoring the midfielder. Competition could therefore intensify in the coming months, although no official offer has been announced at this stage.
Despite Moses’ importance to his squad, Slavia Prague would reportedly not be opposed to a transfer if the proposed terms suited all parties. The Nigerian nevertheless remains under contract with the Czech club until 2029. According to Transfermarkt’s estimate, his market value stands at €10 million.
The AS Roma link remains uncertain
Rumours have also suggested that AS Roma are interested, notably in reports attributed to Africafoot. However, the source from the player’s agency says they are unaware of any contact with the Italian club and specifies that no offer has been made by Roma.
At this stage, AS Monaco therefore appear to be the most advanced suitor according to the reported statements, while the other options remain to be confirmed. For now, no agreement has been announced.
