The Frenchman disclosed that he holds regular sit-downs with Motaung Jnr to take stock of the team's situation and talk through the club's wider ambitions.

"There is a very clear structure in place here, and I meet with the Sporting Director on a regular basis. Every two or three weeks, we sit down to discuss where the team stands and what the club's project looks like," he explained.

Da Cruz went on to stress that his work should not be judged solely on how a single competition pans out, noting that the technical team is expected to evaluate performances and pinpoint areas for growth no matter the result.

"The confidence they have placed in us for the day-to-day work we do is hugely important. Whether we win, draw or lose, we always have to analyse things properly. In our meetings, we talk constantly about how to make the team better every day."
