Manchester United: Michael Carrick and Bruno Fernandes have made peace

On Tuesday, Michael Carrick managed to keep his job despite Manchester United’s latest heavy defeat last weekend.

Just four days after suffering a heavy defeat in Como in the Champions League (4-1), Manchester United lost to Bournemouth (3-0) in the Premier League. The Red Devils sit 16th with just one win.

Michael Carrick will still be in the dugout for the difficult trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea this Saturday. Bruno Fernandes is expected to be in the squad.

Michael Carrick and Bruno Fernandes reconcile

Bruno Fernandes and his manager held talks on Tuesday at Manchester United’s training ground. It was a face-to-face meeting after the tensions of recent days. According to Sky Sports, the two men have calmed things down and promised to put their differences aside to focus on the team. The Portuguese midfielder remained on the bench against the Cherries after criticising his manager’s tactical choices following the match in Como.
