Romano confirms Carrick will be on the touchline against Chelsea
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed in a post on his personal account that the English club's executives had decided in favor of continuing their collaboration with Carrick.
The same source indicated that the management of the “Red Devils” had informed the players of this decision, while awaiting an improvement in the team's performances in the upcoming matches.
The decision comes after Manchester United's 4-1 defeat to Como in the Champions League, followed by their surprise 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The team's results in their last 13 matches reveal the extent of the difficulties they are facing: they have won just three games, drawing four and losing six.
Carrick will therefore be on the bench for the next match against Chelsea, scheduled for Saturday, according to Romano's information.
