Can Liverpool’s former coach join Manchester United?

🚨 JUST IN: Manchester United just had an EMERGENCY Zoom call with Arne Slot after their 1-1 draw with Leeds, making the former Liverpool dictator their TOP priority to replace Michael Carrick. Amad, Cunha, Baleba, Tielemans, Dalot, Mbeumo, Martinez and Bruno Fernandes were ALL present, begging Slot to save their careers and bring the Premier League title back to Old Trafford like he did at #LFC. Slot listened to #MUFC quietly before delivering ONE sentence: “I appreciate the offer, but I only want Liverpool.” Bruno started crying. 😭

🚨 Arne Slot on the possibility of replacing Michael Carrick at Manchester United: 🎙️ Interviewer: “Arne, Manchester United have been struggling badly, results have been disappointing, and there are already questions about Michael Carrick’s future. If United approached you, would you consider replacing him? Arne Slot: “Manchester United are a massive club. Nobody can deny their history, their supporters, or what they have achieved in football. But history doesn’t win you matches in 2026” “When a club of that size keeps struggling, you have to ask difficult questions. You cannot keep talking about the glory days of Ferguson while the team on the pitch is failing to live up to those standards. At some point, nostalgia has to stop being an excuse” “Would I consider the job? I’m a football manager, so of course I listen when serious opportunities come along. But taking over a struggling club isn’t just about changing the manager. You need the right structure, the right mentality, and players willing to fight for the shirt when things get uncomfortable” “Manchester United don’t need another headline. They need a team that can deliver when the pressure is highest. Signing another manager and expecting him to fix everything overnight is not a strategy” “And let’s be honest, if you take that job, you’re not just fighting the opposition. You’re fighting the expectations, the criticism, and the memories of a club that once dominated English football” Interviewer: “So you believe United’s problems go deeper than Michael Carrick? Arne Slot: “Absolutely. Blaming one manager is the easiest thing in football. But if the same problems keep returning with different managers, eventually you have to look beyond the dugout” “Manchester United have the history to demand respect. The question is whether the people running the club are ready to build a team that deserves it again.”
