After Harry Kane's triumph at the 2026 Ballon d'Or, the German sent a warm and humorous message to the English striker. "This time, it was all you. Your teams may have helped you, but you won this award because you're simply fucking brilliant! Congratulations! See you soon on the golf course. And win more titles for MY Bayern Munich!" the 2014 world champion said on social media.

Hugo Lloris praises Harry Kane

Reacting to Harry Kane's triumph, Hugo Lloris highlighted the Bayern Munich striker's commitment to and influence on the collective, as was previously the case with Ousmane Dembélé and Karim Benzema.

"First of all, Ousmane Dembélé's Ballon d'Or had rewarded a player focused on the collective, as was the case with Karim Benzema in 2022. Harry is not just a goal-scoring machine. At Tottenham, he created chances for Son Heung-min, he started dropping deeper and deeper, and playing the laser passes he is known for," said Kane's former Tottenham teammate in the pages of L'Equipe.
