Clásico: disciplinary consequences could follow
Last Sunday's Clásico, won 2-1 by Real Madrid against FC Barcelona at Camp Nou, could have disciplinary consequences.
Yesterday, LaLiga reported several incidents that occurred in the stands during the tense encounter. Seventeen incidents were recorded, including ten involving Barcelona supporters and seven concerning the Madrid fans. Among the most serious incidents were objects thrown at, in particular, Eduardo Camavinga and Kylian Mbappé.
Indeed, during the celebration of Real Madrid's second goal, scored by Mbappé from a pass by Camavinga, several objects were thrown towards the Real Madrid players. Bottles, cans, lighters and even an electronic cigarette were thrown from the stands.
Insulting chants heard
The other incidents reported during the evening mainly concerned insulting chants and provocations from supporters of both sides. All the incidents were recorded in a report submitted to the Competition Committee and the Anti-Violence Committee of the Spanish Football Federation, which will examine the possible sanctions.
