🔴 CAF Champions League (2026/27 season): the group-stage draw results

The draw for the group stage of the CAF Champions League took place this Wednesday, October 28, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Federation in Cairo.

Two former African stars took part in the draw: Tunisia's Oussama Darragi and Cameroon's Achille Emana.

The draw placed Zamalek in Group B, alongside Tunisia's Club Africain, MC Alger and Young Africans, while Espérance feature in Group A with Angola's Petro Atlético, Mauritania's Nouadhibou and Angola's Wiliete.

The second preliminary round produced a huge surprise, as Angola's Wiliete eliminated Mamelodi Sundowns, the South African defending champions, to secure their place in the group stage.

CAF Champions League: the composition of the four groups

Here are the results of the draw for the group stage of the African Champions League for the 2026-2027 season:

• Group A: Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia) - Petro Atlético (Angola) - Nouadhibou (Mauritania) - Wiliete (Angola).
  
• Group B: Zamalek (Egypt) - Young Africans (Tanzania) - MC Alger (Algeria) - Club Africain (Tunisia).
  
• Group C: RS Berkane (Morocco) - Simba (Tanzania) - Orlando Pirates (South Africa) - Colombe Sportive (Cameroon).
  
• Group D: Pyramids (Egypt) - Al-Hilal (Sudan) - Horoya Conakry (Guinea) - Maghreb de Fès (Morocco).
  

The matches of the first round of the African Champions League group stage are expected to be played on November 27, 28 and 29.
