Getafe: Dani Carvajal explains his departure from Real Madrid
Last summer, Dani Carvajal decided to turn the page on Real Madrid. A few days ago, he signed for Getafe. His departure from Real Madrid came as a surprise to many Madrid supporters. Recently, the Spanish defender felt the need to explain himself.
Speaking on El Larguero on Cadena SER, Dani Carvajal revealed that his gradual loss of playing time had weighed heavily on his decision. “From the time I returned after my arthroscopy in October, around January or February, I started to become less and less important on the pitch. At the end of the season, my entourage and the club got in touch, and we decided that leaving was the best solution. Over the last two years, with my injury, I had missed football a little and I wanted to feel like a player again,” he explained.
