Bayern: good news for Vincent Kompany

We now know much more about Vincent Kompany’s health.

Having been absent for a few weeks following a health issue, Vincent Kompany is still recovering. The 40-year-old Belgian coach, whose condition has stabilised after a viral infection, will now go through a period of rest. But for now, Bayern have upcoming fixtures to deal with.

The German club will face Magdeburg this Wednesday in the German Cup.

Aaron Danks provides an update on Kompany

Ahead of this meeting, interim coach Aaron Danks, who is replacing Vincent Kompany, provided some positive news about him. “I paid him a brief visit yesterday. He was in good spirits and seems to be getting better day by day. But I don’t have any significant information regarding a diagnosis or a return to the club. He continues to rest and needs to take his time. Nothing has changed in that regard,” he said.
