Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified Real Betis winger Ez Abde as a potential attacking reinforcement, with the Ligue 1 side exploring their options ahead of the January window.

The French champions are said to be weighing up moves for forward additions after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia picked up a serious knee injury, and Luis Enrique is believed to be monitoring several candidates — Abde among them, according to SPORT. Should the Moroccan international complete a €55 million switch, Barcelona would stand to collect around €11 million as a result of the deal.

Paris Saint-Germain is interested in signing Abde

The picture became clearer after Kvaratskhelia went down with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a Champions League clash with Barcelona.

With the Georgian winger facing several months on the sidelines, PSG were left scrambling for attacking solutions, and Abde's name surfaced among the options being weighed by Luis Enrique as he plans for the winter market. The 24-year-old Moroccan, who might have departed Real Betis during the summer, fits the profile the Parisians are looking for — though interest alone hardly guarantees a deal will materialize.

Any move would come at a steep price. Betis made their position plain during the summer window: nothing less than €55 million would be entertained, a figure that sits just shy of the winger's €60 million release clause. Beyond Seville, Barcelona are watching with quiet interest of their own.

When Abde left Camp Nou for €7.5 million in September 2023, the Catalans secured a 20% stake in any future sale — meaning a €55 million transfer would funnel roughly €11 million back to the club. It would be a handsome return on a player who departed for a relatively modest sum, though the exact figure would hinge on the structure of any final agreement and how the retained rights are applied.
