Bayern Munich: Harry Kane closes in on contract extension

Harry Kane could continue his adventure at Bayern Munich. The club’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, expressed optimism about the outcome of the negotiations. The two parties are now working on the final details of a new agreement.

Bayern Munich want to keep their star striker. Having arrived in Germany in August 2023, Harry Kane is closing in on a contract extension, according to reports in the German press. Jan-Christian Dreesen confirmed that talks had progressed in an interview with Sport Bild.

“I am very positive. We have had good discussions and are currently working on the details,” said the Bavarian executive, as quoted by Sport1.

An extension until 2029 has been mentioned by several German media outlets. Bayern have not yet officially announced a new agreement with the England international.

Bayern want to keep their goalscorer

Since arriving from Tottenham, Harry Kane has established himself as a key part of the Munich attack. His efficiency in front of goal and his influence on the game make him a central figure in the club’s sporting project.

The context is all the more favorable for the England striker as he has just won the 2026 Ballon d'Or, according to reports about his accolade. This award strengthens the player’s status in European football.

Dreesen’s statements reflect Bayern’s desire to continue with their centre-forward. The club must now finalize the terms of the contract before a possible official announcement.
