Alexis Mac Allister’s adventure at Liverpool could be coming to an end. Having arrived at Anfield from Brighton in 2023, the Argentine midfielder would be affected by the changes the English club is planning for its midfield during the next summer transfer window.

Mac Allister’s entourage explores the market

According to information from Sacha Tavolieri, the Liverpool hierarchy has reportedly informed the player of its intention to reshape the midfield. Despite regularly featuring in the starting XI since his arrival, Mac Allister can therefore reportedly no longer be certain of continuing his spell with the Reds. His entourage is said to have taken note of the situation and begun exploring options for next summer.

According to the same source, several Spanish and Italian clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation. The Argentina international would nevertheless like to continue at Liverpool, but the club’s plans regarding the composition of the midfield from next season onwards would be different.

Strong statistics still at Anfield

At 27, Mac Allister still boasts an impressive record in a Liverpool shirt. He has made 162 appearances, scored 23 goals and provided 21 assists in all competitions. During the current season, he has already scored four goals and provided one assist in twelve appearances.

These performances do not, however, guarantee that he will remain in the squad if the club’s executives do indeed decide to begin rebuilding the midfield. His experience and profile could nevertheless attract several suitors during the next transfer window.
