Ballon d’Or 2026: PSG stars absent from ceremony
It is now certain that the players of Paris Saint-Germain will miss the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony, which will be held on Monday evening at the London Palladium in the British capital.
The list of nominees for the 70th edition of the Ballon d’Or included 10 players from the Parisian club.
Among the Paris Saint-Germain players nominated for the award are Ousmane Dembélé, winner of last year’s Ballon d’Or, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha and Achraf Hakimi, as well as other big names.

It was officially decided to postpone the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon, part of the 8th round of Ligue 1, from Sunday to Monday because of demonstrations in the capital, Paris, at the request of the security authorities.
The decision recalls last season’s incident, when heavy rain led to the postponement of the match between Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, which Marseille won 1-0 on the same day that Dembélé won the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
