RB Leipzig is pushing firmly ahead with plans to secure Neil El Aynaoui on a permanent deal. The Moroccan international, who joined the German club on loan from AS Roma back in September, has impressed the Leipzig hierarchy enough that they have reportedly made up their minds to trigger his €25 million purchase option and keep him at the club for the long haul.

Talks have reportedly moved well beyond the initial stages, with the player's personal terms already worked out and a long-term contract — set to run until 2031 — agreed upon. According to details gathered by Africafoot, all that remains is for the two clubs to wrap up a few administrative formalities before the move can be made official.

Some of the offers could have convinced RB Leipzig

Neil El Aynaoui arrived at Leipzig from Roma on a season-long loan for 2026/27, with a purchase option included, and it didn't take him long to nail down a spot in the midfield. His performances have won over coach Martin Demichelis, who is particularly taken with his relentless work rate, his appetite for duels, and the way he contributes both defensively and in building attacks.

The Atlas Lion's numbers in the Bundesliga paint a picture of a player settling in steadily. Across five league appearances, the Moroccan midfielder has racked up 403 minutes of playing time to go with a single assist, according to Opta Analyst data. Those figures suggest the German coaching staff have been leaning on him regularly since the campaign got underway.
