El Mehdi Maouhoub attracts the attention of United FC
Reliable press reports have revealed that Moroccan player El Mehdi Maouhoub is attracting significant interest from various clubs around the world—most notably from the Arabian Gulf, with United FC having already inquired about the player's situation.
United FC are really interested in the Moroccan player
Mehdi Mouhoub, a 23-year-old striker, made the move to United FC in August 2026 on a loan deal that includes a purchase option, following two seasons spent at Dynamo Moscow — a development Africa Foot had previously revealed exclusively. The arrangement gives the Emirati club room to assess the Moroccan forward's performances before committing to a permanent transfer.
Early signs from the UAE Pro League suggest promising returns. According to UAE Pro League statistics, Mouhoub has found the net twice and provided one assist in his first appearances for his new club. Such attacking output only strengthens his importance to United FC's sporting project.
An extraordinary rise and evolution
Mouhoub's footballing journey began at Fath Union Sport in Rabat, where he honed his skills before making his professional breakthrough. A loan spell at Chabab Mohammédia followed, and then came a move to Raja Casablanca in the summer of 2023. It was with the "Green Eagles" that the striker truly announced himself during the 2023/24 season, finding the net eight times in league competition — a run of form that elevated his profile and ultimately paved the way for his later switch to Russian football.
A Moroccan international at under-23 level, the forward carries particular value thanks to his commanding presence inside the penalty area and his sharp eye for goal. His experience across the Botola Pro, Russia, and now the UAE adds a valuable dimension to his career.
Mouhoub remains under contract with Dynamo Moscow until 30 June 2029, though a continued spell in the Middle East could materialise should United FC decide to purchase his contract outright. The financial particulars of any permanent move have yet to be disclosed.
