Arsenal wants to sign a winger with a price tag of 60 million euros!
Kevin Schade is emerging as one of the most sought-after names as the January transfer window approaches.
Arsenal are competing with Liverpool for Kevin Schade
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal and Liverpool are currently setting the pace in the pursuit of the Brentford winger, though the Bees have no plans to sanction a mid-season departure and would require a fee in excess of £60 million before even considering parting with the 24-year-old German in January.
Brentford find themselves under no financial obligation to offload one of their key attacking assets. In fact, the London club have already initiated talks with Schade over a new long-term contract, aiming to shore up their position amid mounting interest from Premier League heavyweights.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have been monitoring Schade for quite some time and are viewed as the most serious suitors for his signature.
A January move, however, currently looks difficult to pull off, with a transfer next summer regarded as the more plausible outcome.
The situation could thus morph into one of the defining transfer sagas of 2027, particularly should Schade continue his impressive run of form. Brentford's existing agreement with the forward runs until the summer of 2028, handing the club a strong hand in any negotiations.
It is worth noting that Schade has found the net three times in six Premier League outings for Brentford this season. He originally arrived at the Bees from Freiburg in June 2023 in a deal worth around £20 million.
