Real Sociedad hosted Rayo Vallecano at the Reale Arena in San Sebastián on Sunday afternoon in the 12th round of LaLiga. The hosts won thanks to a single goal.

Rayo Vallecano, who came into the match in 12th place in LaLiga, suffered a defeat against Real Sociedad on Sunday. However, Beñat San José's side had shown they could get results, notably by beating Celta Vigo 3-0 in their previous LaLiga match.

Although the match looked set to be much tighter than the league table alone might suggest, Rayo ultimately fell to defeat.

Oskarsson seals the win

A single goal decided this match between Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad this afternoon. After a goalless first half, the hosts found the breakthrough in the second period through Oskarsson in the 67th minute.

With this win, Sociedad remain in fifth place. Rayo drop to 14th.
