Antoine Semenyo could represent an interesting option for Liverpool. Former Reds striker Emile Heskey believes the club must seize the opportunity to sign the Ghana international if circumstances allow.

Semenyo, a winger capable of making the difference

At 26, Antoine Semenyo is being monitored by Liverpool. His profile attracts attention thanks to his explosiveness, power and ability to pose a threat in the final third. For Emile Heskey, these qualities match the demands of a club aiming to compete with the best teams in the English league:

He is exactly the type of winger that top-four teams are looking for: he does not just create chances, he also has the explosiveness needed to score himself.

This attacking versatility is one of the main arguments put forward by Heskey in favour of the Ghanaian joining the club at Anfield.

Liverpool could monitor opportunities in the market

Heskey believes Liverpool must also keep an eye on the situation at Manchester City, which is the subject of proceedings concerning alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules. The Manchester club denies the accusations and intends to appeal.

According to the former striker, any potential consequences could create opportunities in the transfer market. He is therefore encouraging Liverpool to be ready to act if the conditions become favourable. For now, however, the reported interest in Semenyo does not mean that an offer has been made or that negotiations are under way.
