Manchester City: Erling Haaland bows to PSG
Next Wednesday, Manchester City will host Paris Saint-Germain on matchday two of the league phase of the Champions League. Well before then, Erling Haaland has already heaped praise on Luis Enrique's side.
Just three days remain before the highly anticipated Champions League clash between Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. In the midst of a crisis following the financial allegations, the Sky Blues will host the two-time defending champions at the Etihad Stadium.
PSG are “special”
In an interview with Canal+, Erling Haaland (26, 1 match and 2 goals in the Champions League this season) expressed caution about this Parisian side, which has been surprising everyone for more than two years.
“They are excellent in the Champions League and in the league. They have won the Champions League twice in a row, which is not normal (smiles). They have incredible players, and they play high-level football. With excellent full-backs. The whole team is excellent, but the full-backs who go up and down all the time, with Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes… It is fascinating to watch. I have already played against them, and I lost. We will have to prepare well because they are a truly special team,” said the Norwegian striker.
