Maurice Revello Tournament: Malick Yalcouy crowned top playmaker

Ivory Coast shined in the 2026 edition of the Maurice Revello Tournament, clinching third place. Behind this collective achievement, several of the Elephants of Hope's young talents stood out individually—none more so than Malick Yalcouy.

Malick Yalcouy, the 20-year-old, finished the Maurice Revello Tournament as joint top playmaker alongside Mauro Couto, providing three assists in five appearances.

His standout performance came against Venezuela in the group stage, where he led his team to a 3-1 victory. The Brighton midfielder both scored and assisted in that encounter, finishing the tournament with one goal and three assists to his name.

Beyond the stats, Yalcouy showcased remarkable versatility. Although a natural central midfielder, he was also deployed as a winger in yesterday’s clash against DR Congo (a 3-1 win).
