Netherlands: Ibrahim Afellay is not afraid of Morocco
The Netherlands could face Morocco in the round of 16 of this 2026 World Cup. According to Ibrahim Afellay, the Dutch have nothing to fear.
Former Dutch international Ibrahim Afellay believes the Atlas Lions showed too many weaknesses against Haiti (4-2) on Wednesday night. That’s why he thinks the Netherlands can be confident heading into the round of 16.
"Koeman certainly doesn’t need to lose any sleep over them. They played very poorly in the second half. Morocco keeps losing the ball. Against stronger opponents, you just get demolished," said the former PSV player on NOS.
