Official: Davide Ancelotti becomes head coach

Former assistant coach of Real Madrid alongside his father Carlo Ancelotti, Davide has just signed with Botafogo.

Rumored for several weeks, it's now official. Davide Ancelotti, son of Carlo Ancelotti and former assistant to the Italian tactician at Real Madrid, is finally starting his career as a head coach.

The son joins his father in Brazil. Davide Ancelotti has signed an eighteen-month contract with Botafogo, the club led by John Textor.

He succeeds Renato Paiva, who was dismissed after being eliminated in the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup.
