Police reports, a family brawl, and a fainting spell: Unpacking Hossam Hassan’s North Coast scare

Egypt national team head coach Hossam Hassan is in stable condition and did not require hospitalisation after suffering a fainting spell during a family dispute on Egypt's North Coast in the early hours of Saturday.

The disturbance took place at a venue in the Porto Marina resort area when a verbal disagreement broke out between Hassan's wife and the daughter of his former spouse.

The confrontation escalated into a physical altercation involving several individuals present at the location.

Hassan attempted to step in to defuse the situation before losing consciousness due to a sudden fainting spell amid the escalating tension.

Local police intervened promptly to restore order and begin standard preliminary procedures.

Amicable resolution and complaints withdrawn

The dispute moved swiftly toward a private settlement rather than continued legal action. The family's legal representative, confirmed that his first ex-wife agreed to withdraw the formal complaint filed against his current wife.

The intervention of Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassanm, Hossam's twin brother, proved decisive in calming tensions bringing the family members together and facilitating the mutual withdrawal of official police reports.

Medical assessments confirmed that the Egypt manager is in good health and did not sustain any serious injuries eliminating the need for hospital admission.
