Probable lineups for the Egypt–South Africa clash
Egypt host South Africa this Sunday, October 4, at Cairo International Stadium in a friendly match to conclude this international break.
Both national teams head into this encounter after recording convincing victories in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers, with the Pharaohs beating South Sudan 5-0 and the Bafana Bafana winning by the same score against Eritrea.
Absences on both sides
Egypt will have to cope without Salah, Mohamed Abdelmonem, Ahmed Fatouh, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Yasser Ibrahim and Mohamed El Shenawy, all of whom are unavailable.
South Africa will be without Teboho Mokoena and Bathusi Aubaas, while Aubrey Modiba remains doubtful. Pitso Mosimane is therefore expected to give playing time to several players who have featured less in previous matches.
