RB Leipzig want to loan out some players before the start of the new season!

According to Sky Sport Germany, RB Leipzig are open to letting two of their Nigerian attackers head out on loan before the new season gets underway. The club's hierarchy seems to believe that temporary exits could benefit both Ayodele Thomas and Suleman Sani, who have found life difficult in Saxony since their respective arrivals.

Thomas, a forward with three national team options at his disposal—Nigeria, the Netherlands, and Croatia—has yet to cement a regular spot in the Leipzig lineup ever since he made the switch to German football in 2026. His time on the pitch has been sparse, and consistency has proven elusive.

On the other side of the spectrum is Sani, a former Flying Eagles standout who joined from Slovak outfit AS Trenčín midway through the previous season. His start in Leipzig was anything but smooth; a string of physical setbacks kept him on the sidelines far more often than he would have liked, severely curtailing his ability to make any real impact during the second half of the campaign.

With both players struggling to find their footing, doubts have begun to swirl around their long-term prospects at the Red Bull Arena. The club's current thinking leans toward giving them the chance to develop elsewhere, provided the right suitor comes forward—someone who can offer the kind of consistent minutes that Leipzig simply haven't been able to provide so far.

As for Thomas and Sani themselves, neither has explicitly asked to leave. Yet sources suggest that if a convincing proposal lands on the table before the window slams shut, both would be open to weighing their options and potentially embracing a fresh start somewhere else.
