Moroccan international Ibrahim Díaz made headlines by securing victory for Real Madrid against Deportivo La Coruña (1-0) on Wednesday night, in the Teresa Herrera Trophy at the Riazor Stadium.

Scoring the only goal of the match, the Atlas Lion showcased his outstanding form as the new season kickoff approaches.

Díaz also shed light on the instructions given by his Portuguese coach, José Mourinho, who asked him to play more centrally and be more involved in the team's build-up play.

"The coach asked me to occupy the central areas more, to help create play, and to link up between the lines. I enjoy this role and will keep working to give my very best."

Finally, the Atlas Lion showed his ambition for the coming season, stating that Real Madrid has all the qualities needed to continue adding to its trophy cabinet.
