Senegal: Federation president questions the qualifications of the Teranga Lions’ doctor
A new revelation adds more mystery to the Teranga Lions’ camp. Abdallah Fall has cast doubt on the competence of the national team doctor, Dr. Abdou Rahman Fediour, who has accompanied the Lions for the past ten years.
During a press conference on Monday, the president of the Senegalese Football Federation did not hide his criticism of the national team’s medical staff.
In reality, our primary doctor does not have the proper academic qualifications to support our athletes. Dr. Fediour is a specialist in gynecology, and this is something I discovered late. The players were not convinced.
These comments directly target Dr. Abdou Rahman Fediour, the physician who has been with the national team for nearly a decade and was present with the Lions at major tournaments. Nevertheless, Fediour has never hidden his background. Since 2018, Dr. Fediour has stated that he is passionate about sports medicine and that he took specialized courses in this field during his studies.
