The Yamals break their silence

Personally affected, Lamine Yamal did not hide his anger:

“I know this was directed at the opposing team and not a personal attack on me, but I am Muslim, alhamdulillah. Using religion to mock is an act of ignorance and racism.”

A powerful statement, symbolizing a discomfort that goes far beyond the pitch.

His father, Mounir Nasraoui, also responded with a message of peace:

“I am sorry for what happened, but long live Spain, Muslims, Christians, and Jews, long live equality for all! What is your problem? If you show respect, you will be respected.”
