There is renewed hope that Neymar could still grace the World Cup stage. The 34-year-old Santos winger, whose participation had been thrown into doubt following a recent injury, now appears to have a genuine chance of making Brazil's final squad.

Speculation had been swirling that head coach Carlo Ancelotti might be forced to leave the veteran attacker out of his Seleção plans. But the Brazilian Football Federation has since stepped in to offer a more optimistic update.

According to an official statement released today, Neymar underwent an MRI on Monday, and the results were encouraging. His recovery is progressing exactly as hoped, with no setbacks reported. The federation confirmed that the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star will continue following a rehabilitation and conditioning program carefully designed by the national team's medical staff.

Neymar has been sidelined since sustaining a fibular head injury during a training session on May 18. With the World Cup fast approaching, every step of his recovery now carries enormous weight. But for the first time since the injury occurred, a return to the pitch—on football's biggest stage—looks like a real possibility.
