After Trabzonspor's 2-1 victory over Başakşehir on Sunday, August 23, Fatih Tekke couldn't stop praising Mohamed Salah. The Turkish coach not only highlighted the exceptional level of his new player but also emphasized his conduct off the pitch.

"May the evil eye not touch him, but everyone knows he's one of the most important players in the world," Tekke initially stated.

The Trabzonspor manager then dwelled on the way the Egyptian handles his superstar status. For Tekke, Salah does not seem like a player who constantly needs to be supervised or managed because of his fame.

"Does he do everything right every moment, does he make all the right decisions? Some might wonder: 'Can they manage him?'" he explained, before answering the question himself.

According to him, Salah hardly requires any special treatment. "The star of my team absolutely does not need to be managed or anything like that. They display incredible professionalism," he stressed.

Tekke was particularly impressed by the 34-year-old's attitude in everyday life.

"Not just on the pitch, but off the pitch as well, it's a totally professional lifestyle," he insisted.

And the Turkish coach believes this attitude clearly sets Salah apart from other players, even though some of his teammates also show exemplary behavior.

"Cenk is one of them. But Salah, he's something else entirely," he declared.

Already decisive for Trabzonspor

Tekke's praise comes after a particularly convincing performance from the Egyptian. For his first start in the Turkish league, Salah scored both of Trabzonspor's goals in the 2-1 win over Başakşehir. He opened the scoring as early as the 8th minute before restoring his team's lead at the start of the second half.

The former Liverpool player also made an impact in his Süper Lig debut the previous matchday. He now boasts two goals in two league matches.

For Fatih Tekke, his new star's impact goes far beyond the statistics.

"Throughout the minutes he has played in these two matches, he always brings us something, he does everything he can to contribute," he explained.

A lightning-fast integration that seems to fully satisfy the Trabzonspor coach. And after his brace against Başakşehir, Mohamed Salah is already starting to justify on the pitch the superstar status his coach has given him.
