Transfer: Bilal Nadir leaves OM and signs with Hamburg until 2029

Hamburg has secured a new addition. The German club officially announced on Friday the signing of Moroccan midfielder Bilal Nadir, who arrives on a free transfer from Olympique de Marseille. The 22-year-old has signed a long-term contract that ties him to HSV until June 2029 and will wear the number 4 jersey.

In its statement, Hamburg celebrated the arrival of a player capable of performing in multiple midfield roles. Sporting director Kathleen Krüger highlighted his versatility, football intelligence, and personality, stating that he fits perfectly with the club's sporting project and values.

Sporting director Claus Costa, for his part, emphasized the Moroccan left-footer's technical qualities, his ability to dictate the tempo of a match, link up play between the lines, and his commitment to defensive duties.

Trained in Nice, revealed in Marseille

Born in Nice on November 28, 2003, Bilal Nadir came up through the ranks at OGC Nice before joining Olympique de Marseille in 2021. After initially playing for the reserve team, he made his professional debut in September 2023.

Wearing OM colors, he featured in 53 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing five assists. He also experienced European football, making four appearances in the Champions League and two in the Europa League.

Awaiting his debut with the Atlas Lions

An international at youth level first with France and then with Morocco's U23s, Bilal Nadir received his first call-up to the Moroccan senior national team in March 2025 for matches against Niger and Tanzania. He is still awaiting his maiden cap with the Atlas Lions.

After signing, the midfielder could not hide his excitement:
