Transfer market: Milan lowers Rafael Leao's price
Rafael Leão could finally leave AC Milan for a fee lower than initially expected. According to Gianluca Di Marzio and Peppe Di Stefano, the Milanese management is now willing to consider letting their forward go for a sum between €40 and €45 million.
Galatasaray still on the lookout
The name of Rafael Leao has been circulating around Galatasaray for several weeks. The Turkish club has reportedly already tried their luck with a €40 million offer, but Milan is said to have turned it down.
Up until now, the Rossoneri seemed to be demanding at least €50 million to sanction the Portuguese international's departure. However, their stance appears to have shifted, and a slightly lower offer could now be enough to unlock negotiations. This does not necessarily mean that Leão will automatically join Galatasaray. Other suitors may try to take advantage of Milan's softened demands.
Leao, a key figure at Milan
At 27, Rafael Leão boasts a wealth of experience with the Lombard club. He has played 291 matches in Milan colours, scoring 80 goals and providing 65 assists. Having arrived at Milan in 2019, the Portuguese forward notably won Serie A and the Italian Super Cup with the Rossoneri.
