Transfer news: PSG drops out of Yan Diomandé race

The transfer of Yan Diomandé to Real Madrid is coming into focus. According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Paris Saint-Germain has officially withdrawn from the race to sign the Ivorian winger from RB Leipzig, leaving the Madrid club in a commanding position.

PSG justified its withdrawal by citing the excessive cost of the deal. The Parisian board believes that both the transfer fee and the player's wage demands are completely disproportionate and do not align with their financial management policy.

Real Madrid stands alone

This move clears the way for Real Madrid, which is continuing negotiations with RB Leipzig. The two clubs are still ironing out the final details of a transfer expected to be around €120 million, which would make Diomandé one of the most expensive signings in Los Blancos' history.

The Ivorian international is said to have already reached an agreement with Real Madrid on a contract running until 2031. If talks are finalized swiftly, the official announcement could come in the next few days, bringing an end to one of the most closely followed sagas of this summer transfer window.
