United States: Donald Trump asks FIFA for another World Cup

United States President Donald Trump is over the moon at the end of the 2026 World Cup.

According to Donald Trump, the 2026 tournament was the most successful World Cup of all time. The American president even went so far as to ask FIFA boss Gianni Infantino to organize another World Cup in his country before he dies.

"I had a great idea for Gianni. I told him: 'You have to do two countries.' So next time, announce us again, and then announce another country after that—it will soften the anger and shock. I think it's an excellent idea. Given the numbers, we're going to ask for another one right away. I said that to lessen the surprise, you could announce our participation, then maybe another for the next one, and even another after that. But we have to do it again, and we have to do it while I'm still alive. Do you hear me, Gianni?", Trump said on Fox News.
