World Cup 2026: A major blow for Wilfried Singo

Wilfried Singo's future on the transfer market has become uncertain after he picked up an injury during Ivory Coast's 1-2 loss to Germany at the 2026 World Cup. The Galatasaray defender is expected to be sidelined for around three months.

Having arrived in Turkey for €30 million from Monaco, the 25-year-old was one of the most closely watched players on his squad. His profile had already attracted the attention of several European clubs. Galatasaray was counting on the World Cup to boost his value and trigger offers around his €55 million release clause.

But this injury couldn’t have come at a worse time. Now, interested clubs may hesitate or lower their offers. The Singo saga remains open, but his absence has put a serious damper on any potential transfer.
