After Argentina's victory over England, Jude Bellingham addressed his exchange with Lionel Messi, which sparked a flurry of reactions.

The scene made the rounds on social media within minutes. In the heart of the semi-final between Argentina and England, a brief interaction between Lionel Messi and Jude Bellingham quickly raised many questions, leading fans to believe there had been a heated confrontation between the two stars.

However, the English midfielder was quick to cool the controversy after the match.

“There was no problem with Messi. We were talking about a deflected shot, honestly, there was nothing bad at all,” assured the Three Lions player,

denying any clash with the Argentine captain.

But Bellingham didn’t stop there, going on to pay tribute to the Albiceleste’s number 10.

“For me, it was a privilege to face Leo. The World Cup he’s having is exceptional, I wish him good luck for the final,” he concluded,

putting an end to the controversy once and for all.
