After the disappointment caused by Tuesday's 2-0 defeat to Spain in the semi-finals, Didier Deschamps has urged his players to regroup.

The French head coach is calling for focus ahead of the third-place play-off at this 2026 World Cup against England.

"We’re going to do everything we can to go and claim it. We owe it to ourselves, to what this jersey represents, to all the people behind us who have felt every emotion. Of course, there are a lot of disappointed fans, but there’s still a match to play. This isn’t just a friendly. Okay, it might not change their lives, but every player has that responsibility," Deschamps told the French Football Federation media.
