According to several eyewitness accounts, one Argentina fan even made monkey gestures towards Speed during the match. The content creator, who commands a massive following on social media, is well known for his open support of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi's longtime rival.

The global football authority stated that it would analyze footage and listen to witness accounts. If the facts are confirmed, sanctions could be imposed on the Argentine Football Association.
