Four years after the semi-final in Qatar, where Les Bleus triumphed 2-0, Morocco and France meet again. Tonight at Gillette Stadium in Boston, the two nations kick off the 2026 World Cup quarter-finals.

The opening whistle will sound at 20:00 GMT. This is a clash charged with a sense of revenge. In 2022, France ended Morocco’s fairytale run in the semi-final. In 2026, the Atlas Lions are out to turn the tables and reach the last four once again.

On the eve of the match, Mohamed Ouahbi exudes total calm: “Strangely, I was probably more anxious before facing Canada than I am ahead of this quarter-final against France! We’re confident in our plan.”

The national coach of the Atlas Lions is also determined to shield his players from pressure: “We know we have a whole country behind us, but I don’t like to remind the players of that. They know who they’re playing for!”
