World Cup 2026 (Q): Namibia unveils squad for final matches

Head coach Collin Benjamin has released a 25-man squad for Namibia’s final two matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Brave Warriors will face Liberia in Monrovia on October 6, followed by a clash with Tunisia in Tunis on October 13. Tunisia has already secured qualification, but Namibia is still clinging to a glimmer of hope. Currently second in Group H with 15 points, Namibia can still target a spot as the best runner-up to reach the playoffs.

The squad features the return of Awilo Stephanus (Hetten FC, Saudi Arabia), Kennedy Amutenya (Jeddah FC, Saudi Arabia), and goalkeeper Jonas Mateus (FC Ongos). Up front, star striker Peter Shalulile (Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa) will lead the team.
