World Cup 2026: Stars involved in the tournament arrested on cocaine charges

After the end of the 2026 World Cup, it seems that news related to the tournament is still clearly continuing, especially if there is a player who participated in the tournament and was then suspended on charges of drug use!

The player at the center of the controversy is Cristian Volpato, a 22-year-old Australian international who participated in the recent World Cup with his national team. Upon his return to Australia, he was reportedly stopped while driving his BMW at 109 kilometers per hour on the Anzac Bridge, a designated speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour.

A speeding violation has resulted in a fine for Volpato, alongside a six-month suspension of his international driving privileges by the authorities. In addition, law enforcement collected a secondary saliva specimen to undergo more extensive testing, while the investigation continues to proceed.

Currently plying his trade with Sassuolo, the 19-year-old earned his first cap for the Socceroos as a second-half replacement against the United States, and subsequently featured in the starting lineup during fixtures against both Paraguay and Egypt.
