Africa is on the verge of writing a new chapter in its World Cup history. For the first time ever, ten teams from the continent will compete in the 2026 World Cup finals. This historic record highlights the remarkable progress of African football on the global stage.

The African representatives qualified for this edition are Senegal, Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, Algeria, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, South Africa, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This edition will also be the first in history to feature 48 teams.
