Just hours before the Democratic Republic of Congo’s match against Colombia in Guadalajara, President Félix Tshisekedi has arranged a private plane for Congolese supporters living in Canada. The goal is to strengthen the community’s presence at Akron Stadium and give the Leopards that crucial twelfth man from the stands.

According to the Congolese Press Agency (ACP), this initiative is reserved for fans who already have their tickets. The presidential arrangements cover round-trip flights between Montreal and Mexico as well as accommodation during their stay.

Sports Minister Didier Budimbu explained that takeoff is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. Montreal time.
In addition to the fans, famed DR Congo supporter Lumumba Via has already arrived in Mexico and will be a vibrant presence in the stands at Akron Stadium in Guadalajara.
