Several African national teams have made a spectacular leap in the FIFA rankings thanks to their stellar campaigns at the World Cup.

The top honors go to Morocco, which now holds 6th place in the global ranking, surpassing European powerhouses such as Portugal, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Egypt, for its part, climbed to 24th in the world after sitting 29th before the tournament kicked off.

Meanwhile, DR Congo made a spectacular jump of five spots to now occupy 41st place.
