Lionel Messi has shown unwavering confidence just days before Argentina's debut at the 2026 World Cup.

Speaking to TyC Sports, Lionel Messi said he was "happy" to be back on the pitch after a minor injury and expressed his optimism ahead of the tournament. "As always before a competition, and especially before a World Cup, we are full of excitement. This squad is extremely competitive and always wants more. We will go step by step, with a lot of hunger and total belief in what we can achieve." the Argentine star declared.

Lionel Messi also sent a message to the supporters: "Let there be no doubt, we will give everything just as we always have. It won't be easy for our opponents to beat us."
