The French national team has been impressive since the start of this 2026 World Cup. But, according to Arsène Wenger, there is reason to worry.

With a string of commanding performances, Les Bleus have earned the favor of former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger. As a guest on Toni Kroos' podcast, the French tactician picked France as the top favorite to win this 2026 World Cup, though he remains wary of Spain.

"A third star for France? The train is moving at a certain speed, and you have to be able to jump on board. For me, the real unknown is Spain. If there is one team capable of beating France today, it's Spain, because they possess a technical quality superior to that of the French. They have an unmatched level of collective play and a culture of team football that is second to none in the world at this level. That is where the difference between the two sides lies. Of course, physically, France is stronger," Wenger admitted.
